SAFETY RULES
Every person who participates in any shooting sport has a responsibility to themselves and the entire shooting fraternity to establish, practice and enforce uncompromising.
GUN HANDLING SAFETY
*NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ARE ALLOWED ON THE RANGE
*EYE AND EAR PROTECTION IS MANDATORY WHEN ON THE RANGE. (FORWARD OF THE WHITE FENCE).
*No gun will be loaded until the shooter is on the shooting station. Loading is putting any part of a shell in any part of the gun.
*No loaded gun will be pointed in a direction that will endanger shooters, range personnel or spectators.
*When not on the shooting station, all guns will be carried unloaded with the breech/action in an open position.
* SKEET—When shooting singles, two shells may be loaded except at station 8, high house. Loading more than two shells is not allowed.
TRAP---No more than one shell may be loaded except in a doubles event.
Gun shall be unloaded until immediately prior to the participants turn to shoot
*No one will fire any target other than the authorized target for their shooting event.
*No unauthorized personnel are allowed forward of station 4 while a squad is shooting. No personnel are allowed forward of station 8 at any time.
*All spectators must remain behind the fence.
*No shot larger than #7 1/2 may be used.
*Empty hulls will not be picked up until all shooters have completed the round.
When retrieving hulls at stations, 7 and 8, shooters will not expose themselves to the line of sight of any shooters on adjacent fields.
*Shooters under 16 years of age must be accompanied and supervised by parents, legal guardian or responsible supervisory adult personnel.
*YOUR GUEST OR DEPENDENT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.Stay with him/her.. Don’t drop them off for someone else to watch. If they are shooting, squad them with you and correct safety infractions immediately so the Range Manager won’t have to do it.
A round consists of 25 targets. During practice, any addition targets requested will cost 15 cents
Please pay for extra targets when you settle up with the range manager at the end of your shooting. Police up your own garbage and empty hulls and place them in the trash can on the range. |
