Learning about our newest Alabama Outfitter partner, Leavellwood, has rekindled great experiences from my youth.
As a young boy growing up in Alabama hunting, fishing and enjoying the outdoors, my father made sure we touched ground in every region of the state. He was an outdoorsman, not a great outdoorsman, but a great educator, and he made sure I was taught or subjected to the vast natural resources the fair state of Alabama offers.
Haint Gobble Call Rocks The World
By Sam Hall
Wilderness, USA: Today at Heritage Quest wilderness camp, GO Youth councilor, Hunter Worth, pointed to the final resting place of ol' Joe the turkey hunter as the source of quakes felt across the region. Per Hunter, we were up Cemetery Hill overlooking HQ headquarters just admiring the run of gobbles that rolled up the hill from the training center below. We knew Eddie Salter and Jim Martin of GO Game Calls were dueling to perfection on two of the "Haint" gobble calls from Down N Dirty Outdoors.

THE DOUBLE "D" (DEER DINNER)
FROM WILDERNESS CALLS
Submitted by Sam Hall
I have watched the Redneck Guru over the past two years working his magic constructing the first deer feeder that is only open for business for deer and large game. He has gone back to the drawing board to include continuous improvements. I have witnessed it in the field and at deer breeder operations. Everyone should step up and take notice of this feeder the hogs and varmints cannot get to.

THE RESURGENCE OF THE NEAR EXTINCT BOW-TOTTING TURKEY HUNTER
Submitted by Joe Wieczorek, The Media Group
G.O. Joe Archer, circa 1912, had to camo-up and develop new tactics before becoming much of a threat hunting turkeys with a bow. In fact, the bow toting turkey hunter reached near extinction as Native American Indians gained access to modern firearms in the 1800's. It wasn't till the very early 1900's when the first archery hobbyist mastered field archery and first considered testing their sporting skills against our almost national bird, the Wild Turkey. The transformation has taken over a hundred years. This is relatively a short span of time in evolutionary terms, and it is safe to say that both human species and Meleagris gallopavo (turkey) species are certainly alive and flourishing.

Global Outfitters Selects Alpen Optics to the "Best of the Best" for Turkey Hunting Setup
By Joe Wieczorek
Back in the early 1900's ol' Joe didn't have many rules or much technology to help him almost eradicate the Wild Turkey population. Most likely, Joe used a rifle to pluck turkeys from the roost in bunches. How much times have changed! Modern wildlife management practices and conservation laws have helped bring back this national treasure to record numbers. But, none of this keeps hunters and manufacturers from searching for the best equipment and technology to give them the edge while turkey hunting.

"The Ultimate Turkey Hunting Setup"
By Sam Hall
I hear, that somewhere out there someone is working a Dominant bird;
12" beard, spurs over an inch and a third - least that's what I've heard.
I hear that a man went grey just past last spring;
He wanted that turkey more than anything!
He's been tossing and turning eleven long months,
Reliving each and every one of those unsuccessful hunts.
Now it's that time of year, and Spring is near;
He's been searching and gathering up all the latest turkey hunting gear.
Says this is going to be his year --- says that ol' Tom should live in fear!
I believe he should --- based on what I hear!
I want to tell everyone about a special Outfitter.
