Host Name Sam Hall
Sam P. Hall, CEO/President: Sam has a lifetime of hunting, fishing and shooting experiences. This knowledge combined with his love for art and reading, have driven the development of Global Outfitters. Responsibilities at Global Outfitters includes developing and marketing software tools to assist Outfitters, Artist and Publishers, deliver their services to the targeted adventure traveler, art collector and reader.

Host Name Jim Martin

Born and raised in North Alabama, at an early age Jim used to spend hours in the hardwood Forrest imitating all the sounds he would hear in the woods and became intrigued with the communication of wildlife. At age 9, Jim's Father began introducing him to Hunting and Fishing, and he had an immediate passion for communicating with wild creatures began. "I was always attracted to the hunting that required calling in your game. The fact that you're communicating with a wild creature was always amazing to me". Jim was raised from the old school saying, "never give your secrets away to other hunters, because that gave you an edge over your buddies". Jim soon realized over the years that there is more to giving than receiving and is dedicated to passing on his knowledge and heritage to others. Also, Jim feels that if the hunters are more educated about what they are doing in the field they will not only have more fun, but hopefully there will be less hunting accidents due to uneducated hunters.

For the past 46 years Jim has hunted Turkey, Duck, Goose, Quail, Coyote and Whitetail Deer with his passion being Turkey Hunting. Since retiring from competition Owling, Gobbling and Turkey calling in 1995, Jim has been featured in many magazine and newspaper articles, videos and TV shows over the years and has become named by some as one of the "Best Game Callers in America". Jim credits his competitive calling level to taking private voice lessons in college. "Voice lessons taught me how to control my air and to call from my diaphragm vs. my throat which is the same used in game calling. Since I have taken my calling to a different level it has really made my hunting experiences much more enjoyable for me and with the people I'm calling for", says Jim Martin. For the past year, Jim has been the Host of the "Call of The Wild" segment of the previous "Global Outfitters Show" which has been changed to "GO Game Calls" and is the co-host for the "Global Outfitters Show". His previous Pro-Staff positions were Preston Pittman Game Calls, Boone and Crockett Outfitters, and The Outdoor Advantage Show. He is the Author of The Turkey Hunter's Bag of Tricks. Jim's passion for Game Calling has fueled him to dedicate, share, and teach you all the latest tips tricks and tactics of how to call the game your hunting into gun range.

Global Outfitters Outdoor Articles Nikon Spot-On:Stupid Simple Ballistic Software
12/25/2011
By Richard Mann

The best way to learn the trajectory of your bullet is to shoot at long range. That's not an easy option for many shooters so we rely on ballistic reticles, drop charts or ballistic software to help us reach out and get hits. External ballistics - the flight of the bullet between barrel and target - is just a physics problem. Yes, it's a complicated physics problem but there's always a mathematical solution. Nikon has simplified this math problem so anyone can work it.

Global Outfitters Outdoor Articles The Battle of Bull Run on the Gulf Coast Lasts Until January
12/16/2011
By: John E. Phillips

As the sun clawed its way out of the Gulf of Mexico to brighten-up the skies and push-away the darkness, I could see that the silhouettes at the end of the pier included both men and women with their rods bent like question marks in the air. "The bulls are running!" one man yelled to encourage anglers to cast their rods out in the direction of his line to hook-up the school of redfish. The red drum, also known as redfish, were moving-out of the deep water and close to the shore at the Gulf State Park Pier in Gulf Shores, Alabama, as they chased schools of baitfish. The very-big bull redfish that weigh from 12- to over 30-pounds each are showing-up all along the Upper Gulf of Mexico coastline, making their winter run near shore during the last week of November and beginning of December. Several methods will catch these bull reds.

Global Outfitters Outdoor Articles Food Plot Poaching

J. Wayne Fears

Food plots planted near public roads or near property lines invite poaching and I am hearing from a number of readers who have trespass problems. I have an e-mail from one Global Outfitters reader who has planted turnips in a food plot within sight of a county road. It is not poachers who are coming in on his food plot, it is turnip lovers.

Global Outfitters Outdoor Articles VOL I: GUNDOG EDITOR
10/14/2011
By: Rick Flippen

While at a field trial last year I witnessed a handler going ballistic when his dog was disqualified for breaking at the line. As he yanked the dog back to his truck he was yelling obscenities at the top of his lungs. What made the situation worse was that the poor gent had two dogs competing and the first dog took off to retrieve a fallen pheasant, and no lie, the dog grabbed the fallen bird and kept going until he ended up in a corn field about half a mile from our location.
